The Evangelische Hochschule Rheinland-Westfalen-Lippe (EvH RWL), founded in 1971 and based in Bochum, is Germany’s largest Protestant University of Applied Sciences, supported by the Protestant Churches in the Rhineland, Westphalia, and Lippe. As a state-recognized institution, it attracts around 450 new students annually and offers bachelor’s and master’s programs in fields such as social work, inclusive education, nursing science, and health and care management, with a strong emphasis on practical orientation and a communicative learning atmosphere. EvH RWL also fosters international collaboration, notably through its English-taught International Semester Programme, which welcomes exchange students and promotes global perspectives in social and healthcare education.
