Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences: No Admission Restriction / NC-Free (2026 /27)

Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (THB), located in Brandenburg an der Havel, is a public Fachhochschule with approximately 2,500-3,000 students situated 60 kilometers west of Berlin in a historic city of 72,000 residents. This small regional university operates three departments—Business, Computer Science and Media, and Technology—offering bachelor's and master's programs in engineering, business administration, computer science, and media informatics, with typical Hochschule structure including mandatory internships and practice-oriented curricula. Located in Brandenburg's third-largest city with direct regional train connections to Berlin (one hour) and Potsdam (30 minutes), the institution provides lower living costs around €500-700 monthly compared to Berlin while maintaining accessibility to the capital for cultural activities and additional internship opportunities. Programs operate primarily in German requiring B2-C1 proficiency for most bachelor's degrees, with limited English-taught options at master's level, while the small enrollment enables personal attention from faculty but limits program diversity and specialization options compared to larger institutions.
