The Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) is Germany's first statewide dual university. Established in 2009, it enrolls over 30,000 students across nine locations, including Stuttgart, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Ravensburg, and Lörrach. This makes the DHBW Baden-Württemberg's largest higher education institution by enrollment. The public cooperative university exclusively operates on the dual education model, in which students alternate between three-month theoretical phases at the university and three-month practical phases at one of over 8,000 partner companies, including Daimler, Bosch, SAP, Porsche, and numerous Mittelstand firms.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)
For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree.
