Evangelische Hochschule Freiburg: Master Programs without Admission Restriction / NC-Free (2026/27)

The Evangelische Hochschule Freiburg (EH Freiburg) is a state-recognized university of applied sciences under church sponsorship, based in the Weingarten district of Freiburg, with the Protestant Regional Church in Baden (Evangelische Landeskirche in Baden) as its sponsoring body. As a confessional institution, it concentrates on social work, religious education, and early childhood education in bachelor's and master's programmes, and also offers continuing-education master's in supervision and social management. It is known for a strong, interdisciplinary research orientation — with focus areas including gender research, childhood pedagogy, and civil society and demographic change — and hosts research institutes such as the FIVE research network, one of Germany's largest social-research institutes based at a university, as well as the Friedensinstitut Freiburg, from which its distinctive Peace Education (Friedenspädagogik) master's programme emerged. As a founding member of the doctoral association (Promotionsverband) of Baden-Württemberg's universities of applied sciences, it can also award doctorates.
