Fachhochschule des Mittelstands: Bachelor Programs with NC

The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a private university of applied sciences established in 2000. With approximately 5,500 students across multiple German campuses, including those in Bielefeld, Berlin, Cologne, Hanover, and Rostock, the FHM specializes in business programs tailored for Germany's Mittelstand (small and medium-sized enterprises). As a private institution, the FHM charges tuition fees ranging from €500 to €650 per month for bachelor's programs and from €495 to €595 per month for master's programs. These fees are significantly higher than those of public universities, but the FHM offers open admissions without NC restrictions and flexible study formats, including part-time, distance learning, and dual study options that combine work and education.

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course.
