Stuttgart Media University (Hochschule der Medien, HdM), founded in 2001, is a public university of applied sciences in Stuttgart with around 5,000 students from over 80 countries. Specialising in media and communication, it offers more than 30 degree programmes across its three faculties – Print and Media, Electronic Media, and Information and Communication – including English-taught options such as International Business (B.A.), Crossmedia Publishing (M.A.) and Computer Science and Media Applications (M.Sc.). Its modern Vaihingen campus features TV studios, VR labs, sound stages, printing facilities, a media library and Germany’s largest university-based packaging development centre. Strong links to global corporations like Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Bosch, as well as partnerships with over 100 universities worldwide, provide excellent opportunities for internships, exchanges and careers.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree.
