International University SDI München: Master Programs without Admission Restriction / NC-Free (2026/27)

Internationale Hochschule SDI München (International University SDI Munich), founded in 1959, is a private state-approved university with over 1,000 students specializing in business, economics, communication, media, and languages with particular focus on translation, interpreting, and intercultural communication. This specialized institution evolved from the Sprachen- und Dolmetscher-Institut (Language and Interpreter Institute) offering bachelor's and master's programs including a distinctive German-Chinese Double Degree in Conference Interpreting with Beijing Foreign Studies University, reflecting its origins in language education and interpretation training. Located in central Munich near the English Garden, the university operates as a non-profit private institution charging tuition fees while students face Munich's extreme living costs averaging €1,000-1,500 monthly in Germany's most expensive city with severe housing shortages. Programs operate in German with some bilingual options given the language and communication focus, requiring strong German proficiency for most degrees while translation and interpreting programs demand near-native competence in multiple languages, with admission based on language aptitude tests rather than traditional NC scores.
