TH Bingen University of Applied Sciences: Application Deadlines for Bachelor programs (2026/27)

Technische Hochschule Bingen, founded in 1897 as Rheinisches Technikum, is a public university of applied sciences with approximately 2,400 students in Bingen am Rhein, Rhineland-Palatinate, offering programs in engineering, life sciences, information technology, and business administration. This small Fachhochschule operates two faculties focusing on applied sciences including environmental engineering, biotechnology, computer science, and industrial engineering, with particular specializations in process engineering and agricultural sciences leveraging the Rhine Valley's wine industry and chemical sector. Located in Bingen (25,000 residents) at the gateway to the UNESCO Upper Middle Rhine Valley, 30 kilometers from Mainz and 60 from Frankfurt, the university provides small-town studying with living costs around €600-800 monthly in this wine-growing region, though limited urban amenities require trips to Mainz for broader cultural activities. Programs operate primarily in German requiring B2-C1 proficiency for bachelor's degrees with limited English options, while the typical Hochschule structure includes mandatory internships often with regional chemical companies, wineries, and agricultural businesses rather than major corporations.
