Theologische Hochschule Reutlingen: Bachelor Programs without Admission Restriction / NC-Free (2026/27)

Theologische Hochschule Reutlingen (Reutlingen School of Theology/RST), founded in 1877, is a private church-affiliated university with approximately 200 students in Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg, specializing in theological education for the United Methodist Church in German-speaking Europe. This small religious institution offers a three-year Bachelor of Arts and two-year Master of Arts in Theology, covering biblical languages, Old and New Testament studies, church history, systematic theology, and practical theology, with supplementary courses in psychology, education, and philosophy designed to prepare students for ministry and church service. Located in Reutlingen (115,000 residents) near Stuttgart in the Swabian Alps region, the university operates from historic buildings in the city center with living costs around €700-900 monthly, though the institution's primary purpose is training Methodist clergy rather than providing broad academic education. Programs conducted in German require C1-C2 proficiency given the pastoral communication requirements, with admission typically expecting commitment to Christian faith and often recommendation from church communities, as the curriculum integrates spiritual formation exercises, chapel attendance, and religious practices alongside academic coursework.
