Bonn offers international students an outstanding study experience in a historic yet vibrant university city along the Rhine. The University of Bonn, founded in 1818 and home to Nobel laureates in physics, chemistry, and economics, provides academic excellence across a wide range of disciplines—with particular strengths in mathematics, economics, and international relations. As Germany's former capital and current seat of numerous UN organisations, Bonn maintains a distinctly global character. The university's strong international orientation, English-taught programmes, and dedicated support services create a welcoming environment for students from around the world.
