Braunschweig: State Exam programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Braunschweig is the Lion City: just under 250,000 residents – big enough for real city life, compact enough to reach everything by bike. The Oker river flows in a ring around the city center; in summer, you paddle along it or dig your feet into the sand at Okercabana beach in Bürgerpark.

Everyday life happens in neighborhoods like the Magniviertel, where half-timbered houses, cafés, and pubs stand side by side, or the Östliches Ringgebiet with its old-style apartments. The festival calendar runs from Schoduvel, northern Germany's biggest carnival parade, to a Christmas market with over 300 years of tradition.
