Bremerhaven: MBA Programs with NC

Bremerhaven offers international students a distinctive experience at its University of Applied Sciences, specialising in maritime sciences, wind energy, and logistics—fields where this historic port city connects education directly to real-world industry in ways few places can match. Strong partnerships with shipping companies, offshore wind operators, and the renowned Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research create unique opportunities for hands-on learning, specialised internships, and research involvement that translate into genuine career advantages. The waterfront setting provides an inspiring backdrop for daily life: maritime museums, historic harbour installations, and the spectacular Klimahaus science centre sit alongside an authentic working port that handles millions of containers annually and offers tangible insights into global shipping networks. Despite its industrial character, the city has a surprisingly international atmosphere shaped by decades of maritime trade and migration, helping newcomers feel welcome quickly.

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
