Coburg: Admission Restriction - Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Coburg offers international students a distinctive educational experience at its University of Applied Sciences, known for excellence in design, business, and automotive engineering—fields where the intimate campus atmosphere and close relationships with professors create a supportive learning environment that larger institutions rarely match. This charming former ducal residence provides quality education in a fairytale setting: the magnificent Coburg Fortress, one of Germany's largest, overlooks a perfectly preserved medieval old town filled with Renaissance architecture, cosy cafés, and a surprisingly vibrant cultural scene for a city of just 40,000 residents. Strong connections to regional industries, including automotive suppliers and design firms across northern Bavaria, create valuable internship opportunities and genuine career pathways. Students appreciate Coburg's exceptional quality of life, with cultural offerings unusual for its size—a renowned state theatre, museums, and the famous annual Samba festival that draws hundreds of thousands—alongside living costs significantly lower than in major German cities.
