Hof: Admission Restriction - Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Hof offers international students a distinctive educational experience at Hochschule Hof, a university of applied sciences specialising in business, engineering, computer science, and design with a strong focus on digital innovation and sustainability—all completely tuition-free, even for international students, in a city where living costs rank among the lowest in Germany. This friendly city in Upper Franconia, situated near the former border between East and West Germany, provides exceptional value through its "Quality and Career" approach, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application through partnerships with regional textile, engineering, and media companies that create genuine hands-on learning and career pathways. The intimate campus atmosphere fosters close relationships with professors and personalised attention that helps international students thrive academically and professionally, while dedicated support services ease the transition into German university life. Students enjoy authentic Franconian culture away from tourist centres—local breweries, traditional festivals, and a welcoming community where newcomers find their footing quickly—alongside the natural beauty of the surrounding Frankenwald and Fichtelgebirge mountains, which provide exceptional hiking in summer and skiing in winter just minutes from campus.
