Hildesheim: International Programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Hildesheim offers international students a distinctive educational experience at HAWK (University of Applied Sciences and Arts) and the University of Hildesheim, both known for innovative programmes in cultural education, information management, and the arts—fields where the city's extraordinary heritage provides living context for academic work. Despite extensive reconstruction after World War II, Hildesheim retains remarkable cultural significance: UNESCO World Heritage churches including St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Michael's, a picturesque reconstructed market square with colourful half-timbered facades, and a 1,000-year-old rosebush that has become the city's symbol all create an inspiring backdrop for studies in cultural preservation, education sciences, and heritage management.
