Iserlohn: International Programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Iserlohn offers international students a distinctive educational experience at its University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule Südwestfalen) and private Business and Information Technology School (BiTS), with strong programmes in business administration, information technology, and industrial engineering that reflect genuine international ambition—numerous English-taught degrees and a student body representing over 70 countries create a multicultural learning environment unusual for a city of this size. The intimate academic setting means small class sizes, close relationships with professors, and personalised attention that helps students develop both academically and professionally in ways larger institutions struggle to replicate. Strong connections to regional Mittelstand companies—Germany's innovative, often family-owned medium-sized enterprises that form the backbone of the export economy—create valuable internship and employment pathways in fields ranging from automotive components to medical technology, giving graduates practical experience and industry networks that translate into real career advantages. Iserlohn itself offers a pleasant balance of urban amenities and natural beauty: the surrounding forests, caves, and lakes of the Sauerland provide exceptional hiking, cycling, and outdoor recreation just minutes from campus, while the town centre delivers cafés, restaurants, and everyday conveniences without big-city stress.
