Lemgo: International Programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Lemgo offers international students a distinctive educational experience at the local campus of OWL University of Applied Sciences (Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe), specialising in technology, digital production, and food technology—fields where the Innovation Campus Lemgo and its partnership with the Fraunhofer Institute create exceptional opportunities for hands-on research in Industry 4.0, smart factory technologies, and automation that few universities can match. This charming Renaissance town provides quality education with a strong practical focus in a setting of remarkable architectural beauty: perfectly preserved merchant houses from the Hanseatic period, ornate stone facades, and one of northern Germany's most impressive historic centres form a backdrop that feels almost theatrical in its preservation. The intimate campus atmosphere fosters close relationships with professors and direct engagement with regional businesses known for precision engineering, food production, and hidden-champion manufacturing companies that drive Germany's export economy. Students enjoy Lemgo's rare balance of historic charm and technological innovation—the beautifully preserved old town offers authentic immersion in German culture, cosy cafés, and a genuine small-town rhythm, while the campus itself buzzes with cutting-edge research and industry collaboration.
