Meißen Universities (2026/27)

Meißen offers international students a distinctive educational experience at its University of Cooperative Education specializing in porcelain design, ceramics technology, and traditional craftsmanship. This picturesque medieval town along the Elbe River provides specialized education in a setting of extraordinary cultural significance as the birthplace of European porcelain, where the world-famous Meissen manufactory continues a 300-year tradition of ceramic artistry. International students benefit from studying in the authentic environment where "white gold" was first created in Europe, with opportunities for apprenticeships and practical training at the historic porcelain works alongside formal education in both technical and artistic aspects of ceramics. The intimate learning environment fosters close mentorship with master craftspeople who share techniques perfected over centuries.
