Plauen Universities (2026/27)

Plauen offers international students a specialized educational experience at its campus of the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, focusing on textile technology, automotive engineering, and business administration. This historic city in Saxony's Vogtland region provides quality education in a setting deeply connected to Germany's textile heritage, where the world-famous Plauen lace tradition creates a unique environment for studies in textile design and technology. International students benefit from the campus's strong connections to regional industries undergoing innovative transformation, creating valuable practical learning opportunities in both traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques. The affordable living costs compared to western German cities allow for a comfortable lifestyle while experiencing authentic Saxon culture away from tourist centers.
