General Requirement: Applicants must hold a recognized university degree.
Subject-Specific Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
Practical Computer Science: 8 CP in Programming, 8 CP in Data Structures and Algorithms, 6 CP in Databases and Information Systems, 6 CP in Software Engineering, and 6 CP in an elective subject from the Bachelor's program in Computer Science.
Technical Computer Science: 6 CP in Introduction to Technical Computer Science, 6 CP in Operating Systems and System Software, 6 CP in Data Communication, and 6 CP in System Programming.
Theoretical Computer Science: 6 CP in Formal Systems, Automata, Processes, 6 CP in Computability and Complexity, 6 CP in Mathematical Logic I, and one elective subject from a list of specified courses, each worth 6 CP.
Mathematics: 6 CP in Discrete Structures, 8 CP in Analysis for Computer Science, 6 CP in Linear Algebra, and 6 CP in Introduction to Applied Stochastics.
These competencies must be comparable to those required in the Bachelor's program in Computer Science at RWTH Aachen.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Requirement: Applicants must provide proof of the GRE General Test results, ranking among the top 25% in Quantitative Reasoning (above 75th percentile), the top 85% in Verbal Reasoning (above 15th percentile), and achieving at least 3.5 points in Analytical Writing. EU/EEA citizens and Bildungsinländer (those with a German educational background) are exempt from this requirement.
Additional Requirements: If more than 42 CP of additional requirements are needed, admission to the program is not pοssiblе.
Zusätzliche Qualifikation
Language Proficiency: Sufficient proficiency in German and English is required. The examination board may verify English proficiency through a seminar or bachelor's thesis written in English.

Die Bewerbungsfrist für den Studiengang Master of Science Infοrmatik an der Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen hängt davon ab, in welchem Land du deinen vorherigen Abschluss erworben hast. Für Bewerber mit einem Abschluss aus Nicht-EU-Länder gilt folgende Bewerbungsfrist: 15. Januar für das Wintersemester und 15. Januar für das Sommersemester. Bewerbungen erfolgen über: Direkt bei der Hochschule.
