Previous Degree
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). Achievements in at least one of the following disciplines: Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, Iranian Studies, Turkish Studies, and/or Central Asian Studies as well as the history, culture, and politics of the Middle East, totaling at least 50 credits including achievements in the area of the Arabic language amounting to at least 30 credits, as well as in the area of Islamic history, culture, religion, and law amounting to at least 15 credits.
At least 150 ECTS at the time of application.

Additional information:
If your native language is not English, you must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of English. Knowledge of Arabic: achievements amounting to at least 30 credits. German language skills are not required for this program. English language proficiency can also be proven with a NULTE certificate with a minimum level of B2. The successful completion of the test must not be more than three years prior to the receipt of the application for admission. At least one year of study or professional stay in a country where English is the official language or the successful completion of at least two years of study in English is also considered proof of sufficient knowledge of the English language.
