Qualification Requirements

Previous Degree

A completed Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science or Physics at FAU or another equivalent domestic or foreign degree that does not differ significantly in terms of the skills profile conveyed in the respective degree program. Please note that your skills profile cannot be assessed in advance, but only after completion of the application procedure (see below) by the admissions committeе.

GPA Comment

A Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or better according to the German grading system. Applicants with an eligible degree (see above) and a grade point average between 2.6 and 2.8 will be invited to a short online interview in which their knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, algorithms and data structures will be assessеd.

Additional information:

English language proficiency can also be proven with six years of English classes at a German secondary school (Gymnasium). Applicants who have completed their university entrance qualifications or their first degree in English are not required to provide proof of proficiency in English.
