Previous Degree

Non-German bachelor's degrees need to be declared equivalent to a German first degree (Studienkolleg Konstanz).

Bachelor's degree with an engineering component of
50%.

Required ECTS credits: 210.

Graduates with 180 ECTS can be admitted. They will be requested to obtain an extra 30 ECTS credits in the appropriate bachelor program at Heilbronn University or by conducting a six-month internship in a companу.

Applicants should have an excellent or good first degree of 2.5 or bettеr.

Application Documents


  1. Signed master program application form.
  2. General certificate of education or other school leaving certificate (high school diploma).
  3. Curriculum vitae.
  4. First degree certificate relevant to this application and Transcript of Academic Record (Bachelor's degree) in German or English.
  5. English language certificate (see language requirements).
  6. In case of a non-German first degree: Studienkolleg Certificate.
  7. The written confirmation on the Applicant sheet of two professors of the Faculty of Mechanics and Electronics, who agree to supervise the applicant in the research project.
  8. Applicant sheet of the respective degree program for which admission is sought.
  9. Applicants from China, Vietnam, or Mongolia have to submit the certificate of APS ("Akademische Prüfstelle").
