The Barenboim-Said Academy is a unique music academy based in Berlin, Germany. Established in 2016, it is a private institution co-founded by the renowned conductor Daniel Barenboim and the late Palestinian-American literary scholar Edward Said. With more than 90 students, the Academy provides a conservatory education for talented young musicians from the Middle East, North Africa and around the world.

Housed in a historic landmark building in the heart of Berlin, the Academy is close to the iconic Berlin State Opera and the Federal Foreign Office. The campus environment combines historic architecture with modern facilities, including the state-of-the-art Pierre Boulez Hall, designed by architect Frank Gehry.
