Founded in 1899 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Friedensau Adventist University (Theological University of Friedensau) has been state-recognized since 1990. This small, private religious university is located in the village of Friedensau (population 500) near Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt and has approximately 200 students. This denominational institution exclusively offers bachelor's and master's programs in theology and Christian social work. Specialized degrees are available in Adventist studies, mission studies, and music therapy.
