Hochschule Merseburg, also known as Merseburg University of Applied Sciences or HoMe, is a public university of applied sciences founded on 1 April 1992. With approximately 3,000 students, it is a small institution located in the city of Merseburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The campus is located in a suburban area (2km from the city center), providing students with a peaceful and concentrated learning environment.

Merseburg University of Applied Sciences offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in three main faculties: Engineering and Natural Sciences; Social Work, Media and Culture; and Business and Information Sciences. The university is particularly known for its practical and solution-oriented approach to teaching and research, emphasising close collaboration with industry and society to address real-world challenges.

The university has a strong focus on applied research and has established several laboratories and test fields in various fields, including automation technology, chemistry, electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, communication technology, physical technology and environmental technology.
