University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd

The University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd is a public university founded in 1825. With over 2,800 students, it is one of the smaller universities in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The university is located in the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd, approximately 50 kilometres east of Stuttgart, in a semi-rural setting surrounded by the foothills of the Swabian Alb. The university places a strong emphasis on education and offers a range of teacher training programmes for primary, secondary and vocational schools.
