Established in 2000 by the ZEIT-Stiftung foundation, Bucerius Law School is Germany's first private law school. It has approximately 700 students at its Hamburg campus and offers programs focused on business law and international legal studies. The institution provides a four-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program in German that leads to the First State Examination, as well as English-taught master's programs, including the Master of Law and Business (M.L.B.), International Business Law, and International Dispute Resolution. Annual tuition fees range from €12,000 to €25,000, depending on the program.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
