Overview Deadlines

Established in 1971, FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences enrolls over 15,000 students across its two campuses in Aachen and JĂŒlich. It is one of Germany's largest Fachhochschulen, offering programs in engineering, business administration, architecture, and design. Located in Aachen, a city of 250,000 residents at the western border of Germany where the countries of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany meet, the university benefits from the technical industries of this tri-national region and its proximity to RWTH Aachen, one of Europe's leading technical universities. However, this also means competing for housing in a tight student market where rents average €400–550 for shared accommodations.

This Latin term means “limited number” and indicates that a program has restricted admission. In other words, not all applicants can be accepted, so selection is usually based on grades or other criteria when demand exceeds available spots.
