The Hamburger Fern-Hochschule (HFH), also known as the Hamburg Correspondence College, is a private, non-profit university founded in 1997 in Hamburg, Germany. With more than 10,000 students as of 2021, it ranks among the largest private universities in the country and specialises in distance learning tailored to the needs of working professionals. HFH offers a wide range of flexible part-time and dual study programmes leading to bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fields such as business administration, engineering, computer science, health sciences and education. It is particularly recognised for its specialised business administration programmes for graduates of Austrian higher vocational schools and its dual study options, which combine academic study with practical work experience.
