The Wilhelminenhof campus is located in Oberschöneweide and is a former industrial site that has been transformed into a modern science campus directly on the River Spree. HTW Berlin offers more than 70 programs of study across technology, computer science, business, law, culture, and design. These programs range from traditional subjects, such as mechanical engineering and business administration, to innovative fields, such as facility management, economic policy, and game design. Several master's programs are taught in English. HTW Berlin is known for its practice-oriented education and close ties to industry. It regularly earns top rankings; its business administration, computer science, and industrial engineering programs were ranked first in Germany by Wirtschaftswoche in 2023. Research is another cornerstone of the university. More than 150 externally funded research projects are conducted each year, covering topics such as sustainable energy, advanced health research, digital and creative industries, and cultural heritage preservation. Notable alumni include Erik Möller, a freelance journalist and former deputy director of the Wikimedia Foundation, reflecting HTW Berlin’s strong academic and professional impact.
