Overview Deadlines

The Lutherische Theologische Hochschule Oberursel (LThH), or Lutheran Theological College, is a small, state-recognized church university located in the scenic town of Oberursel near Frankfurt, Germany. Founded in 1948 after the closure of two Lutheran institutions in Eastern Germany during World War II, LThH has been officially recognized as a research university by the State of Hessen since 1955. Specializing in Protestant theology and biblical languages, the university offers an intimate academic environment with around 35 students (as of 2021), fostering close relationships between faculty and students. Its campus, nestled in a quiet, wooded area on the outskirts of Oberursel, provides an ideal setting for theological reflection and study.
