RWTH International Academy, a subsidiary of RWTH Aachen University, is a non-profit organisation founded in 2000. As the official further education academy of RWTH Aachen University, one of Germany's elite technical universities, it offers a range of specialised Master's programmes and short courses in English. The Academy shares its campus with RWTH Aachen University, which will have more than 45,000 students by 2023, and is located in the historic city of Aachen, Germany, close to the borders of Belgium and the Netherlands.

A unique blend of historical significance and modern innovation, the campus environment is a unique one. Known for its association with Charlemagne, the 'Father of Europe', Aachen boasts a rich cultural heritage, with Aachen Cathedral being the first German building to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
