Trier University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Trier), established in 1971, is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, with approximately 6,000 students and around 170 professors.  The university operates across three campuses: the main campus Schneidershof in Trier, the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld, and the Campus for Design and Art in Trier and Idar-Oberstein. The Environmental Campus Birkenfeld is notable for being Europe’s first zero-emission campus, utilizing 100% CO₂-neutral renewable energy sources for its electricity, heating, and cooling needs.
