University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf: Application Deadlines for international programs (2026/27)

Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD), founded in 1971, is a public university of applied sciences with 8,500 students in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia's state capital and one of Germany's wealthiest cities. This Fachhochschule offers approximately 40 bachelor's and master's programs across seven faculties including engineering, business administration, architecture, design, media, social work, and computer science, with the Peter Behrens School of Arts particularly known for architecture and design programs benefiting from Düsseldorf's role as a fashion and advertising center. Located across two campuses in Düsseldorf-Derendorf and Düsseldorf-Bilk, approximately 10 minutes from the city center by public transport, the university operates in Germany's seventh-largest city where living costs average €800-1,100 monthly driven by the city's economic strength as headquarters for numerous multinational corporations and Japan's largest community in continental Europe. Programs operate primarily in German requiring B2-C1 proficiency for bachelor's degrees, with limited English-taught master's options, while the typical Hochschule structure includes mandatory 20-week internships leveraging Düsseldorf's strong economy in telecommunications, consulting, fashion, and advertising sectors.
