The Kunstakademie Münster is a renowned public art academy in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Founded in 1971, it is one of the few art academies in Germany with the right to award doctorates and habilitations, making it equivalent to a university. Located on the Leonardo Campus in the heart of Münster, the academy offers students a stimulating environment in which to pursue their artistic passions. For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course.
