The Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts-Akademie und Berufsakademie Göttingen (VWA/BA Göttingen) brings together a university of cooperative education (Berufsakademie) and an academy of administration and business (VWA) under one roof. The VWA can look back on more than 80 years of experience in continuing education, while the Berufsakademie has offered dual degree programmes since 1983. The academy rests on a broad regional base: its members include the City and District of Göttingen, the Hannover-Hildesheim Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and companies and institutions from the region, which is also where most of its students and partner organisations come from. Its small portfolio of three programmes specialises in dual bachelor's degrees.
