Geislingen Universities (2026/27)

Geislingen an der Steige offers international students a focused educational experience at the local campus of Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), specialising in business administration, industrial management, and engineering through Germany's distinctive dual-study model—a programme where students alternate between academic terms and paid work placements at partner companies, earning both a degree and genuine professional experience simultaneously. This approach connects directly to the region's industrial strength, with partners including WMF, the renowned kitchenware and metal goods manufacturer historically rooted in the city, alongside numerous other companies in Baden-Württemberg's innovative manufacturing sector. The striking natural setting makes Geislingen unlike typical university towns: dramatic limestone cliffs of the Swabian Alb rise above the historic centre in the narrow Fils Valley, creating an inspiring backdrop and exceptional hiking opportunities right from the doorstep. The town itself is compact and affordable, with living costs well below Stuttgart—which remains easily accessible by train—allowing students to stretch their budgets while enjoying a safe, welcoming community where settling in feels straightforward.
