Homburg: State Exam programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Homburg offers international students a distinctive educational experience at the medical campus of Saarland University, one of Germany's leading centres for medicine, biochemistry, and medical technology, where the university hospital's 30 clinics and institutes create an exceptional environment for health science studies that combines academic rigour with real clinical exposure. International students benefit from a strong research orientation, with prestigious institutions like the Leibniz Institute for New Materials and the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research located nearby, creating opportunities for scientific collaboration and laboratory experience that undergraduates at larger universities rarely access. The intimate campus atmosphere fosters close relationships with professors and hands-on engagement with advanced facilities, while dedicated support services help international students navigate both academic demands and daily life in a new country. Homburg itself offers a pleasant balance of focus and comfort—a mid-sized city with affordable living costs, safe surroundings, and a welcoming community that makes settling in straightforward.
