Kursbeschreibung
The degree program enables students to perform independent scientific activities, analyze and critically assess scientific findings, apply scientific working methods in a targeted manner, and work on spatial problems with special consideration of their societal and natural science aspects.
In the M.Sc. in Geography, it is possible to choose between two specializations:
- Human Geography,
- Physical Geography.
It can also be studied without specialization.

Higher education entrance qualification.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Geography.
Required ECTS credits: 180.
You can apply if you have completed at least 80& of the credit points. Please note: the last examination performance must be completed before the start of the first master's semester, otherwise your admission will bе withdrawn.

- Evidence of higher education entrance qualification*.
- Only for foreign bachelor’s degrees: VPD.
- Evidence of German proficiency (see language requirements). This is not required if university entrance eligibility was acquired according to German law or if the bachelor’s degree was obtained in Germany).
- Letter of motivation (incl. professional or academic goals, in German).
- Curriculum vitae in tabular form.
- Evidence of English proficiency (see language requirements).
- Application form, which is provided in KLIPS (fully completed online, uploading of the signed printout).
*For foreign degrees, the documents must be uploaded in their original language and with official translations if the original documents have not been issued in German or English.
Applications where a degree program has not yet been completed: You must submit a transcript of records stating the total credit points achieved, the provisional overall grade, and evidence of the anticipated date on which the currently outstanding examination components will be completеd.
