Tuition-free Catholic Religion - Teacher Education Academic Secondary Education [Gymnasium] Programs in Germany: Application Deadlines (2026/27)

Studying Catholic Religion – Teaching Subject at Secondary Schools as an international student prepares you to teach faith, ethics, and religious culture to adolescents in a reflective and age-appropriate way. The program combines Catholic theology, biblical studies, church history, ethics, philosophy of religion, and interreligious dialogue with subject-specific pedagogy, adolescent psychology, and classroom management. You learn how to address questions about meaning, identity, justice, and coexistence in a pluralistic society and how to design lessons that encourage discussion and critical thinking rather than rote learning.
