Born out of the necessity of understanding the effects of colonialism on current political provisions, Development Studies is the interdisciplinary branch of social science and economics that seeks to explain political and social factors that either enhance or limit development in countries. Students will be required to learn a range of topics (history, economics, law, media, and even notions of engineering) in order to formulate and apply frameworks on different levels of governance building.
