International German Studies: Texts, Practices, Methods Bachelor Programs in Germany (2026/2027)

Studying German Studies: Texts, Practices, Methods as an international student offers a comprehensive and research-oriented approach to understanding how German-language texts are produced, interpreted, and situated within cultural and historical contexts. The program combines literary and linguistic analysis with practical approaches such as textual criticism, discourse analysis, writing and editing practices, and methods from cultural and media studies. Students learn how texts function across genres and media—print, digital, performative—and how interpretive methods shape scholarly and professional work.
