Islamic Religious Education - Teacher Education Academic Secondary Education [Gymnasium] Master Programs in Germany without tuition fees (2026/27)

Studying Islamic religious education for teaching at secondary schools means giving Muslim students the opportunity to engage with their faith in a well-founded and reflective manner within the school setting. As a teacher of Islamic religious education, you accompany young people as they grapple with existential questions about meaning, identity, and orientation, and convey a nuanced understanding of Islam—its sources, history, ethics, and diversity. In a society where Muslims make up a significant part of the population and Islam is often the subject of controversial debates, the subject makes an indispensable contribution to integration, dialogue, and religious maturity.
