The Deutsche Welle Akademie (DW Akademie) is the international center for media development, media consulting, and journalism training of Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster. Founded in 1965, it combines practical media training with academic education, focusing on media and development, journalism, communication, and digital innovation. Its flagship program is the bilingual Master’s in International Media Studies (IMS), offered in cooperation with the University of Bonn and Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, accredited by AQAS and attracting media professionals from across the globe. Headquartered in Bonn with offices in Berlin, DW Akademie offers students direct access to Deutsche Welle’s studios and international media network.
