Hochschule Emden/Leer - University of Applied Sciences

Founded in 2009 after the separation of two existing institutions, Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences is a public university with around 4,000 students studying across its two campuses in the Lower Saxony towns of Emden and Leer. The main campus in Emden is located near the picturesque harbor and provides a compact yet vibrant academic environment that fosters close interaction between students and faculty. The smaller campus in Leer is situated in the historic old town and specializes in dual business administration programs, which enrich the university’s diverse learning atmosphere. The university is organized into four faculties: Business, Engineering, Social Work and Health, and Maritime Sciences.
