The Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) was established in 2002 as a nonprofit foundation by Goethe University Frankfurt. It is a specialized postgraduate institution that offers Master of Laws (LL.M.) programs in finance and international finance for law graduates seeking expertise in financial law. The ILF operates within the structure of Goethe University while maintaining its independent foundation status. It enrolls approximately 50-60 students annually in its intensive, one-year programs, which combine legal and financial education.
