Hochschule Bochum - University of Applied Sciences is a public university of applied sciences located in Bochum, Germany. Founded in 1971, it has grown to accommodate more than 8,000 students. The university has two campuses: the main campus in Bochum-Querenburg, founded in 1979, and the Velbert/Heiligenhaus campus, opened in 2009 in the Düsseldorf-Essen-Wuppertal region.
