EBS University of Business and Law (EBS UniversitĂ€t fĂŒr Wirtschaft und Recht), founded in 1971, is one of Germany’s oldest private universities and a leading institution for business and law with around 2,200 students. Split between two campuses—the historic Oestrich-Winkel site in the Rheingau, featuring a castle overlooking the Rhine, and the modern Wiesbaden campus in the city centre—EBS combines tradition with state-of-the-art facilities. Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
