Tuition-free Biblical Studies Programs in Germany without Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Germany’s Biblical Studies programs provide international students with unparalleled opportunities to engage in one of the world’s most influential traditions of scriptural scholarship. Building on the legacy of theologians such as Rudolf Bultmann and Julius Wellhausen, these programs combine rigorous training in ancient languages like Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic with advanced hermeneutical and historical-critical methods. Students gain access to world-class theological libraries, original manuscripts, and archaeological collections, while curricula integrate biblical archaeology, ancient Near Eastern studies, and interdisciplinary approaches linking scripture with history, linguistics, and philosophy.
